When I got selected for the TheMUSEUM Brush Off, it felt surreal but I told myself I had I could not back out. Painting in front of someone, let alone an audience made me sick to my stomach and I contemplated to opt out a few times because of it. Over the 40+ days, I was overwhelmed with fears and anxiety. I gave myself no option to quit and I was determined to turn that energy to action by practicing everyday, even when I didn’t feel like it. I was determined to turn fear into courage because I knew I would regret it if I didn’t.
